We have 50 bedded base hospital situated at Bidar town. This hospital was a maternity cum general hospital when Dr. Salins was alive. On an average we see 40 - 50 patients in our O.P.D daily from Monday to Saturday. We do about 150 to 200 eye surgeries (mainly Cataract) per month. 60% of our work is charitable. On an average we do 4 - 5 camps per month. This involves screening of patients of various villages (Bidar Dist. has more than 600 villages) of Bidar district. These patients are then transported to the base hospital in Bidar in a mini - Bus. They undergo surgery the next day and they are transported to their villages on the third day. The patients are given free food and medicines during their stay in the hospital. The eye team is headed by Dr. Sybil and consists of 30 staff members. The hospital is equipped with modern eye equipments. "CBM International" supports this work.^

We are looking after 60 families (about 150 people) at Navjeevan New Life Center at Chattnally village (situated 20 Km from Bidar town). A Church cum community hall was built for them in 2003. Our endeavor is to see that they return to normal society, as it was the older generation who had Leprosy. The present generation and children are disease free. Presently 10 women are learning tailoring and sewing classes. 7 children are in a residential school. We have helped the village head to start a grocery shop. 3 acres of land is being developed. Simon Peter, a Pastor looks after the spiritual activities of the residents. Most of the residents have their own small businesses. "The Leprosy Mission" supports this work.

50 bedded rural health center belonging to velemegna society is situated at Baridabad Village (20 kms from Bidar town). The hospital is within a 10 acres land, 6 acres of rich cultivable land, the food grains grown in this farm is use to feed for residents of leprosy center. The hospital has 10 beds meant for Leprosy people. Due to the lack of doctors we only run weekly clinic here. This place has a potential to become multi - specialty hospital, poor children home, or a residential school.
